If you met “corporate” me 10 years ago I may have struck you as the epitome of success, but the truth is I was exhausted and close burn out.
Tired of all the constant pushing and proving. Always striving for promotions and pay raises, professional recognition, and a sense of inner peace that alluded me.
I couldn’t escape the feeling I was playing above my station in life. IMPOSTER SYNDROME was real and I carried it like a ball and chain.
A small town (Adelaide) girl at heart, with a slightly funny (Queen’s English) accent. I’ve always possessed a certain “Ninja-like” ability to instinctively and rapidly ‘see’ a way forward in life and business. Call it intuition, street smarts or luck. I always got what I wanted. Following my nose, my heart and my head.
I thought that, and my highly developed grit and determination were the tickets to my success in corporate life. To a degree I was right, I did achieve success, but it came at a huge cost to my health and wellbeing.
I wasn’t working in alignment with my passion and purpose.
It took a major health crisis for me to stop and reassess my priorities and consciously decide to seek more joy and fun from life. I traded my very serious professional services job for one in the events industry. It was so much more fun, but something was still missing
After having my first child, I threw caution to the wind entirely. I let go. I embraced my braver and bolder self and followed my heart. I escaped the corporate world and moved to Thailand to create my dream life and business.
Something completely different, crazy and outside of my comfort zone.
